Beautiful pencil pleat curtains with a 6.5 cm wide slot and a decorative frill above the pole available in a wide range of colours (from delicate and neutral shades and pastels to beautifully bright colours), patterns (plain, floral, geometric and more) and transparency (from sheer to blackout), to suit all interiors, styles and purposes. These versatile curtains are perfect for living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and dining rooms, nurseries and home offices. Whether you're looking to create a shabby chic or country look, traditional style or modern loft interior, with around 700 fabrics to choose from you will be spoilt for choice. We also offer up to 8 swatches completely free of charge.

Most fabrics on Dekoria.co.uk are 130 cm wide, so curtains wider that this will be two (or more, only if required) pieces of fabric joined together in an aesthetic manner, which does not affect the quality of the product.

The width you order is the width before gathering.

The drop of the curtain you order does not include the 5 cm frill above the pole.

Width: When measuring for the width of slot and frill curtain remember that the width of the fabric will significantly reduce with gathering. It is therefore recommended to measure the pole and multiply its width by 2 times and divide this by 2 to calculate the required widths of individual curtains.

Drop: For slot and frill curtains the drop is measured from the pole to the window sill or the floor. Extra fabric for the decorative frill will be added to the drop ordered, so please do not include this in your measurement. For extra long curtains that pool on the floor add 20 cm to the drop.

STANDARD SIZE SLOT TOP AND FRILL CURTAIN

This curtain has a 6.5 cm wide slot heading (through which a pole is threaded) and a 5 cm wide decorative frill above it. The drop of the curtain ordered does NOT include the decorative frill above the curtain pole.

The bottom of the curtain is finished with an overlock seam. Standard size curtain is supplied with iron-on hemming tape to allow quick and easy adjustment of the drop of the curtain without professional help. Simply use the tape and hot iron to hem at the required drop.

The hem on the sides of the curtain is 2 cm wide.

The width of the curtain is the width before gathering. Please allow extra fabric for gathering.

MADE TO MEASURE SLOT TOP AND FRILL CURTAIN

This curtain has a 6.5 cm wide slot heading (through which a pole is threaded) and a 5 cm wide decorative frill above it. The drop of the curtain ordered does NOT include the decorative frill above the curtain pole.

The bottom of the curtain is hemmed. The width of the hem depends on the drop of the curtain:

  • - for curtains up to 200 cm long the width of the hem is 5 cm
  • - for curtains over 200 cm long the width of the hem is 10 cm
  • The bottom of the made to measure curtains is finished with weights to improve the hang and keep the curtain in position.

The hem on the sides of the curtain is 2 cm wide.

The width of the curtain made to measure is the width before gathering. Please allow extra fabric for gathering.

Curtains over 130 cm in width are made out of two or more pieces of fabric. This is due to the standard width of fabrics (140cm) available from fabric manufacturers. This is a standard practice in the industry, the patterns are matched across the pieces of fabric and this does not affect the quality or the look of the finished curtain. This may not apply to a small number of fabrics that are supplied in rolls that are 280 cm wide.
