Measuring a blind mounted to the wall with a scalloped valance

Add at least 5 cm to each side of the window recess width to obtain the correct blind width.

The blind height is measured from the windowsill or floor to the upper edge of the window sash plus approximately 30–35 cm. This additional space is required to allow the window to open freely when the blind is raised.
