A valance is an ideal window decoration if you want to give your interior a romantic and stylish character. It is often used in small rooms when you want to “dress” the window without darkening the space. It can be hung on its own or combined with curtains or sheers.

The tab top valance looks best when hung flat on a curtain rod or slightly gathered – this way its main decorative element, the tabs, is clearly visible.

The valance with tabs has a total height of 40 cm (35 cm + 5 cm tabs) and is available in 3 widths: 130 cm, 260 cm, 390 cm. The width given is before gathering, so choose a wider valance than the curtain rod. For widths above 130 cm, the valance may be sewn from two or more fabric panels (pattern may not match). At 130 cm width there are 7 tabs (5 cm high and 5 cm wide), at 260 cm – 13 tabs, at 390 cm – 21 tabs.
