Blind Measuring Guide

Blinds can be fitted either inside or outside the window recess, so when ordering a blind you need to decide where to fit it and to take measurements accordingly. Sometimes the blind can only be fitted outside the recess, this is when:

  • The window opens inwards
  • The window is not fitted in straight (varying by more than 1.5 cm on either side), which happens in particular in older buildings
  • The recess is too shallow - usually less than 10 cm deep

We recommend that you use metal measuring tape to ensure the measurements we receive are accurate and the blind fits well.
